The Strike API is a tool that lets developers transact programmatically across Bitcoin, Lightning, and cash networks. This includes trading bitcoin, making on-chain and Lightning payments, sending to Lightning addresses, making cash payouts to bank accounts, and transacting with Strike’s global user base.

The Strike API can be used to send and receive both on-chain and via Lightning, using either your cash or bitcoin balance, meaning you can access a global payments network while choosing the money that best suits your needs.

The Strike widget is a web-based app that lets your end users buy bitcoin on your platform. It can be integrated into your web or mobile app, allowing your users to link cash payment methods, buy bitcoin, and have their bitcoin delivered to a specified destination, including Bitcoin addresses, Lightning invoices, or Strike usernames.

With the Strike widget you can now add a “Buy bitcoin” button to your app, and alongside the Strike API and Strike OAuth Connect, you can build robust Bitcoin and transaction experiences to better serve your users.

Strike OAuth Connect allows developers to integrate Strike-app functionality into their own apps. This means you can authenticate Strike users, establish user permissions, and make authorized Strike API calls on their behalf, including sending and receiving payments on-chain or via the Lightning Network, from either their cash or bitcoin balance.

Strike BLACK is available to developers worldwide, but for regulatory reasons Strike is only able to serve customers in certain eligible countries or states. In the U.S. Strike is available to all businesses other than those incorporated in New York. Globally Strike is available in a number of countries.
